People are now using emails to communicate to people. We email the company that we are applying a position for. We are emailing a business firm when we want to conduct business with them. We email people to send confidential or important information. Email is known now as the most secured way to reach a person. This is because every person or company has its own unique email address. No two people or company have the same email address. That is why we are confident on sending emails anytime and anywhere and it will reach the receiver as soon as we hit the send button. This is how convenient the email service provider gave us such as Gmail.

How to create an email? The steps are eventually simple. All you need is go to the email’s page and look for the sign up link. For Google mail, just find the gmail.com sign up page. You will be redirected to the page where you will put some of your personal information, create your own unique email address and password. After this, you can now send emails to whomever person or people you like to. Easy right?

But how do you log in again next time you want to send an email? Well, all you need to do is go to the Gmail login page. First, you type the URL of the email such as www.gmail.com. You will be asked for your email address and password. After you have written the needed security information, click Login button or just simply hit “Enter” on your keyboard. You will be back again on your email account.  Now do you believe that emails made communication easier? Goodbye to the old snail mail days and hello to the newest technology of communication. Life can now be convenient.

How to Become An Effective Leader?

In business, there are many things that people undergo. They may stumble on their position of be stepped down. But many of us aspire to become the leader that could lead people. There are those who have the determination to put it on their objective and make sure they will step on that spot. Being a leader is not easy. There are many people who will look up to you and expect you to not make any mistakes. You have to have a strong and clean profile so people will believe you that you can lead them. How to become a leader?

  1. When you want to lead people, make sure you can also lead yourself. Passing orders to your sub-ordinates is as easy as passing information. But a leader capable on leading his own self is important because you are not just to provide a good example but become the element of the people on your business. It is important for the leader to focus and ability to motivate others.
  2. Do not do monarchy. Being a thoughtful leader is ideal on a working place but do not set a throne on the office. You guide your sub-ordinates but do not put too much space between you and them.
  3. Make sure that you have a strong commitment. You have to be committed to what you do so that everyone can see and follow you. Make sure you know how to design a plan, create a quantity excellence and set reasonable things on the place.
  4. Be open to other’s idea. Listen to your people. The purpose of leading is to establish a good business and you can achieve them by cooperating with others and listening to what they think is the best solutions for certain projects. Without them, you are not on your place.

These are the few responsibilities of being a leader.

Ka Ipu Kukui: Training the Future Leader

The Ka Ipu Kukui program takes place on March 16, 2011. Each of the participants was given the opportunity to dine with the current and previous Ka Ipu Kukui fellows on an exclusive lunch together with the fundraiser. What is Ka IPu Kukui Fellows? It is a program created by the Decision Maui and Focus Maui Nui to promote the leaderships and development of the community based program which is designed in accessing the Maui Nuis future.

There are many members of the Ha Ipu Kukui. The steering committee members are Roselle Bailey, Sandy Baz, Buck Buchanan, Rory Frampton, Lori Teragawachi, Scott Nunokawa, Stanley Okamoto, Ken Ota, Clyde Sakamoto, Jeanne Skog, Lianne Yoshida, Kalani Ho, Yarrow Flower, and Rhiannon Chandler.

They have accepted nominations and applications that were held last 2012 at the University of the Hawaii-Maui College where the Ka Ipu Kukui Fellows held the program. The collaboration between the two was now in its fourth year. The program means “crucible of light”. It is a forging ideas which will test and furnace the best path to take in the future. The program will identify potential leaders that they trained in order to have the best future planning of the Maui Nui.

The training shall have participants that will actively participate over the year that may depend on the activity schedule. There will be many activities involve such as the cultural resources, natural areas and political process. It will also focus on the discussions about the economic, lifestyle and social issues of the place. According to them, 15 fellows  were selected through the process of rigorous training that were conducted by the members of the Ka Ipu Kukui steering committee members.
